After arriving home around 4:45pm, I knew my evening was going to be a busy one. It didn’t take long for things in my house to get crazy. Hanging up from a 2 minute chat with my brother, I turned around and was greeted by broken glass mixed with salad dressing all over the floor . “He did it!” yelled my 8 year old, pointing to my 4 year old. I hurried to clean up the mess and got dinner started. Typically, I will prep my dinner before hand to make my life easier, but this week, I didn’t. I was being punished! After cooking dinner, helping a 5th grader and 3rd grader prepare for a test, I sat down and let out a huge sigh. The time off my feet was short lived. The thought of my kids not having lunch tomorrow, reminded me of another task that needed to be done. As I walked in the kitchen, I noticed dinner still left out on the stove and unwiped counters. I screamed! In that moment, it was as though my frustrations of being a mom started to ease. I needed that scream. Sometimes, I need a lot of screams. But, that’s my life. The life I chose-wife, mom, full-time school teacher. Juggling it all can be overwhelming at times. Starting this blog, will help me release some of the highs and lows of my hectic life, our hectic life-D6.
